South Africa's big year is upon as it makes its final preparations for the 2010 Soccer World Cup. The infrastructure, and especially the aviation infrastructure, will be an essential element in a big country with matches being played the length and breadth of the land. The infrastructure coped surprisingly well with the 1995 Rugby World Cup, the first time that event had been held exclusively in one country and with the same number of venues, but the soccer version is in a different league so to speak. How has the country - especially Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) - and the growing number of other airport operators - coped so far?
