Allegiant up, but otherwise a quiet day at the casino as market eyes Thanksgiving: US airline shares
Analysis
Allegiant, now looking better to some analysts as it edges more into the business traveller space, had a good day, easily outshining a 2.9% rise in the Dow. And AirTran too performed well.
United, meanwhile, perhaps exhausted from its 25% leap in capitalisation the previous day, sat on neutral for once and Alaskan lost some of its previous gain.
But basically it was a relatively quiet day at the casino for the aviation industry.
Wall Street is closed today as Thanksgiving is celebrated across the nation.
