Air New Zealand to expand China flights - report

Analysis

Beijing (XFN-ASIA) - Air New Zealand will add routes to Beijing,

Shanghai and Hong Kong due to expected strong growth in visitors from China,

the South China Morning Post reported, citing Ed Sims, group general manager.

New Zealand's only international airline will also expand its fleet as it expects tourist arrivals from China to rise 140 pct over the next six years, the Hong Kong newspaper said.

"China will become the third most important market to New Zealand in terms of inbound tourists after Britain and Australia by 2013, way ahead of Japan," Sims said.
