Air Lease Corp confirms widebody purchase, looks at A320neo

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) CEO Steven Udvar-Hazy has confirmed that the company has ordered widebody aircraft but has not announced the details. Mr Udvar-Hazy also confirmed the company will be looking at the A320neo and is already in talks with Airbus.

Mr Udvar-Hazy stated he believes Boeing will move towards developing an all-new narrobody aircraft with a decision expected soon. The decision is expected to determine when Airbus offers an all-new narrobody. Airbus' upgraded A320neo is due to enter service in late 2015.

ALC also announced today that it has issued USD120 Million in Senior Unsecured Notes in a private placement to institutional investors. The notes contain a 5% coupon for a five-year term with a maturity of 26-Jun-2016.
