Air Berlin Group narrows losses in a challenging 1H08

Air Berlin Group's (including LTU and Belair) EBIT loss narrowed from EUR66.3 million to EUR53.9 million in the six months ended 30-Jun-08 (1H08), resulting in an improved EBIT margin from -4.6% to -3.5%, despite the significant rise in fuel prices during the period. The carrier held cash and cash equivalents of EUR306.4 million at the end of the period.
