Virgin Blue featured airline of the month on biggest global LCC website, Peanuts.aero
Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation is pleased to announce Australian
carrier, Virgin Blue, is featured this month on its fast-growing low cost carrier
(LCC) industry website, Peanuts.aero.
"We are pleased to highlight Virgin Blue among the hundred or so LCCs now operating globally and covered on industry website, Peanuts.aero, as the carrier launches its ambitious international and regional expansion", said Peter Harbison, Executive Chairman of the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation.
The feature follows last year's exclusive guest perspective by Virgin Blue in Peanuts! The Low Cost Airline Weekly, in which it unveiled its 'New World Carrier' strategy exclusively to Peanuts! newsletter readers.
Peanuts.aero was officially launched in January 2007, providing the global LCC industry with daily news and sector analysis. Powered by the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation's extensive information and data services resources and backed by its expertise as a world leader in LCC trends, Peanuts.aero has become the world's leading B2B low cost airline website, with over 40,000 unique visitors monthly - and growing rapidly.
Highlights of Peanuts.aero include:
- News by region and by category, including traffic, financials, ownership and acquisitions, routes and bases and much more;
- Carrier profiles, including latest operating details and carrier outlooks;
- A host of free resources and background on the LCC sector.
Every week, the Centre publishes the subscription report, Peanuts! The Low Cost Airline Weekly, which provides comprehensive global LCC news and analysis. Now in its fourth year, Peanuts is the only B2B management report on the LCC sector, and is the perfect companion to the information freely available on the Peanuts.aero website.
The name 'peanuts' refers to the famous free inflight offering of the grandfather of the LCC movement, Southwest Airlines.
