Filipino carriers apply for Japanese route permissions

Philippines' Civil Aeronautics Board stated (24-Sep-2013) the following carriers have applied for permission to launch the following services to Japan in summer 2014:

AirAsia Zest:

Cebu Pacific:

  • Manila-Tokyo Haneda: Daily service from Feb-2014. According to Innovata, the carrier would be the route's only operator;
  • Manila-Tokyo Narita: Twice daily service from Feb-2014. According to Innovata, All Nippon Airways, Delta Air Lines, Japan Airlines, Jetstar Airways and Philippine Airlines also operate on the route;
  • Manila-Fukuoka: Daily service from Apr-2014. According to Innovata, Philippine Airline also operates on the route;
  • Manila-Hiroshima: Daily service from Oct-2014. According to Innovata, the carrier would be the route's only operator;
  • Manila-Ibaraki: Daily service. According to Innovata, the carrier would be the route's only operator;
  • Manila-Nagoya: Three times weekly service from Jun-2014. According to Innovata, Delta Air Lines and Philippine Airlines also operate on the route;
  • Manila-Okinawa: Daily service from May-2014. According to Innovata, the carrier would be the route's only operator;
  • Manila-Sapporo: Daily service from Oct-2014. According to Innovata, the carrier would be the route's only operator;
  • Mactan Cebu-Tokyo Narita: Daily service from Oct-2014. According to Innovata, Philippine Airlines also operates on the route;
  • Mactan Cebu-Osaka Kansai: Daily service from Oct-2014. According to Innovata, the carrier would be the route's only operator;
  • Mactan Cebu-Nagoya: Daily service from Dec-2014. According to Innovata, the carrier would be the route's only operator.
