Tiger Airways reports (10-Feb-2012) the following traffic highlights in Jan-2012:

Tiger Airways Singapore increased capacity by 46% in Jan-2012 compared to Jan-2011, which included new services to the Philippines (Cebu and Davao) and India (Bangalore). Tiger Airways Australia operated at reduced capacity and on a limited schedule in Jan-2012 relative to Jan-2011, resulting in a decline in passenger numbers.

Tiger Airways: β€œIn Jan-2012, Tiger Airways Australia received approval from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia to increase the number of daily sectors that it can operate from 32 daily sectors to 38 daily sectors. Subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals and the establishment of a second Australian base, Tiger Airways Australia is aiming to utilise its remaining surplus capacity by the second half of 2012. This will mean both additional frequencies on existing routes, as well as the introduction of new routes,” Company Statement, 10-Feb-2012.
