Tiger Airways passenger numbers down 25% in Apr-2012, load factor down 8 ppts
Tiger Airways reports (14-May-2012) the following traffic highlights for Apr-2012:
- Passenger numbers: 466,000, -25% year-on-year;
- Tiger Airways Singapore: 331,000, +4%;
- Tiger Airways Australia: 135,000, -56%;
- Passenger load factor: 80%, -8.0 ppts;
- Tiger Airways Singapore: 83%, -4.0 ppts;

Tiger Airways: "Tiger Airways Singapore increased capacity by 9% in Apr-2012 compared to Apr-2011, leading to a 4 ppts decrease in its load factor to 83%. During the month, Tiger Airways Singapore began operations to Kochi, India and will commence services to Colombo, Sri Lanka in May-2012. Tiger Airways Australia operated at reduced capacity and on a limited schedule relative to Apr-2011, resulting in a significant decline in passenger numbers.
