AirAsia and VietJet Air sign strategic partnership agreement

VietJet Air CEO, Nguyen Duc Tam and AirAsia Group CEO, Tony Fernandes signed (08-Apr-2010) a strategic partnership agreement between VietJet Aviation Joint Stock Company (VietJet Air) and AirAsia Berhad. AirAsia had earlier acquired a 30% equity stake in VietJet Air, which is launching a Vietnam-based LCC. The trade name is tentatively VietJet AirAsia. VietJet AirAsia will be operating domestic and international services. During the official signing ceremony, the companies announced they have entered into an engineering support services agreement.
