Air Seoul receives its AOC

South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced (05-Jul-2016) it issued Air Seoul with its air operator certificate after the LCC passed all government review in which around 1500 items were inspected. As previously reported, Air Seoul is expected to commence operations on 11-Jul-2016 with a four times daily Seoul-Jeju service before commencing international operations in Oct-2016, starting with services to Japan, China, Cambodia, Malaysia and Vietnam. It will operate three A321s from Asiana Airlines initially with plans to introduce two more aircraft in 2017. The carrier will be based at SEoul Incheon International Airport. Asiana Airlines currently has a 46% stake in Air Busan. [more - original PR - Korean]
