Air France details plans for 'offensive in Marseille'; to launch 13 new services from Oct-2011
Air France announced (11-Jul-2011) details of its "offensive" in Marseille, with the carrier launching 13 new services from Marseille from 02-Oct-2011, increasing seat capacity by 50%. This represents 1.3 million additional passengers p/a to/from Marseille Airport, according to the carrier. New destinations include:
- France: Bâle Mulhouse, Biarritz and Brest;
- Europe: Athens, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf, Eindhoven, Milan-Malpensa, Moscow and Prague;
- The Mediterranean: Beirut and Istanbul;
- Morocco: Casablanca.
On domestic flights, there will also be additional seat capacity on existing destinations such as Bordeaux, Lille, Nantes and Toulouse. The carrier will also be offering an additional daily departure to Paris-CDG and two extra daily services to Paris Orly.
