Qatar Airways in talks with three UK airports including Birmingham

Qatar Airways is reportedly in talks with a further two UK airports as it seeks to expand its UK network to five destinations (Arabian Business/Travel Weekly, 24-Jul-2012). The carrier has confirmed plans to launch service to Birmingham but has yet to release a date or schedule for the service. The carrier has yet to disclose the names of the other UK airports it is interested in, as it is "currently in the process of carrying out feasibility studies". The carrier currently operates 45 weekly frequencies between Qatar and the UK including five times daily to London Heathrow and 10 times weekly to Manchester.
