'Over 90% of tourists arrive by air' in Cuba, Guyana and Dominican Republic: IATA

IATA announced (Dec-2016) 50% of tourists arriving in the Caribbean in 2015, arrived by air, while the global average stands at 54%. In Cuba, Guyana, Martinique, St Lucia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Dominican Republic, over 90% of tourists arrive by air. The aviation industry in the Caribbean assisted with USD27 billion in tourists' spending in the region, with USD24.3 billion in leisure spending and USD2.7 in business spending.
