Melbourne Tullamarine Airport reports record pax in Jul-2014

Australia's Melbourne Tullamarine Airport CEO Chris Woodruff said (21-Aug-2014) Jul-2014 was a record month for total passengers, with 2.8 million passengers travelling through the airport, an increase of 2.5% year-on-year. Domestic passengers increased 0.2% to 2.0 million and international passengers increased 9.9% to 725,489, "with strong growth from all regions." He commented, "Popular holiday destinations, Japan and Indonesia led growth for the month with both recording increases of more than 60 per cent on the previous year while the earlier start to Ramadan also saw strong growth in passengers arriving from Indonesia as well as Malaysia and Singapore."
