Lufthansa to increase fuel surcharge on long-haul services
Lufthansa announced (26-Apr-2010) plans to increase its jet fuel surcharges on long-haul intercontinental services by EUR5 per flight effective 28-Apr-2010, citing a rise in crude oil prices. The fuel surcharge for short and medium-haul flights remain unchanged. Details include:
- Long-haul services to the Middle East and East Africa: increase to EUR82 per flight;
- North America and India: increase to EUR87;
- South America, Central, West and Southern Africa, Southeast Asia and the Far East: increase to EUR97;
- Domestic German and European flights and flights to/from Israel, Lebanon, Jordan and Northern Africa remain unchanged at EUR24. [more]
