Lufthansa Group: “The airlines in the Passenger Airline Group (not including bmi) increased sales by 1.6% year-on-year in Jan-2012. Capacity growth was very modest at 1.1%, so that the load factor improved by 0.4 ppt to 73.7%. The slight capacity increase was achieved with 2.5% fewer flights, enabling further unit cost improvements. The pricing environment remained stable. All airlines registered modest growth. Sales at Lufthansa Passenger Airlines (including Germanwings) rose by 1.5%.
