International tourist arrivals up 4.5% for four months ended Apr-2011: UNWTO
UNWTO reports (30-Jun-2011) worldwide international tourist arrivals rose 4.5% year-on-year for the four months ended Apr-2011. Details include:
- International arrivals: 268 million, +4.5% year-on-year;
- Europe: +6%;
- Asia Pacific: +5%;
- Americas: +5%;
- Middle East: -7%;

UNWTO: "UNWTO maintains its forecast for international tourist arrivals in 2011 at between 4% and 5%, slightly above the long-term average and in line with previous assessments.
