Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg reports 5% pax growth in Sep-2014

Germany's Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg stated (09-Oct-2014) Berlin Schönefeld and Tegel airports handled (09-Oct-2014) 2.7 million passengers in Sep-2014, a 5.7% year-on-year increase. 688,699 passengers (+8.6%) were handled at Berlin Schönefeld and 2.0 million (+4.8%) at Berlin Tegel. Aircraft movements increased 3.2% to 22,934, including 6293 (+3.2%) at Schönefeld and 15,541 (+3.2%) at Tegel. 26-Sep-2014 was a new record for the Berlin airports with 107,505 passengers handled across 815 aircraft movements. In the nine months to 30-Sep-2014, the airports handled 21.0 million passengers, a 16.1% year-on-year increase. In the first nine months of the year, 5.4 million passengers were recorded in Schönefeld (+7.5%) and 15.6 million at Tegel (+5.7%). The total number of flight movements in the first nine months of the year rose by 5.5% 190,194 take-offs including 52,784 at Schönefeld (+7.7%) and 137,410 at Tegel (+4.6%).
