Emirates to utilise flexible routings on upcoming Dubai-Auckland service to improve efficiency

Emirates Airline reported (23-Feb-2016) it plans to utilise flexible routes to take advantage of tailwinds to achieve flight efficiency on its upcoming Dubai-Auckland service from 01-Mar-2016, the longest air route in the world by distance. Emirates noted: "This proven technology, combined with the elimination of an en-route stop in Australia, could shorten the time to Auckland by up to three hours."
