Berlin Airports pax up 7% in Jun-2012, handles 12 million pax in 1H2012
Germany's Berlin Airports reports (06-Jul-2012) the following traffic highlights for Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schoenefeld airports:
- Jun-2012:
- Passenger numbers: 2.3 million, +7.3% year-on-year;
- Berlin Schoenefeld: 639,754, +1.1%;
- Berlin Tegel: 1.7 million, +10.0%;
- Cargo volume: 2735 tons, -6.8%;
- Aircraft movements: 22,348, +3.4%;
- Passenger numbers: 2.3 million, +7.3% year-on-year;
- Six months ended 30-Jun-2012:
- Passenger numbers: 11.9 million, +5.1%;
- Berlin Schoenefeld: 3.4 million, +2.0%;
- Berlin Tegel: 8.4 million, +6.5%;
- Cargo volume: 15,272, -4.3%;

According to Berling Airports, nine new destinations were added during Jun-2012 including Bilbao, Birmingham, Bologna, Kaliningrad, Leeds, Marseille, Memmingen, Rijeka and Valencia.
