Berlin Airports pax up 7% in Jun-2012, handles 12 million pax in 1H2012

Germany's Berlin Airports reports (06-Jul-2012) the following traffic highlights for Berlin Tegel and Berlin Schoenefeld airports:

  • Jun-2012:
    • Passenger numbers: 2.3 million, +7.3% year-on-year;
    • Cargo volume: 2735 tons, -6.8%;
    • Aircraft movements: 22,348, +3.4%;
  • Six months ended 30-Jun-2012:

According to Berling Airports, nine new destinations were added during Jun-2012 including Bilbao, Birmingham, Bologna, Kaliningrad, Leeds, Marseille, Memmingen, Rijeka and Valencia.

Berlin Airports: "The traffic figures for the first six months show quite clearly that the aviation market in the Berlin region remains a stable growth market.
