Autogrill revenue down 1.1%, net profit down 3.5% in 2009

Italy's Autogrill revenue down 1.1% - financial highlights for the 12 months ended 31-Dec-2009:

  • Revenue: EUR5,728 million, -1.1% year-on-year;
    • Food & Beverage: EUR3,787 million, -6.2%;
    • Travel Retail & Duty Free: EUR1,538 million, -3.0%;
    • Flight: EUR403.0 million, -2.0%;
  • EBITDA: EUR606.3 million, +3.4%;
    • Food & Beverage: EUR437.5 million, -8.6%;
    • Travel Retail & Duty Free: EUR156.9 million, +15.4%;
    • Flight: EUR42.2 million, +1.1%;
  • Profit before tax: EUR156.1 million, -3.5%;
  • Net profit: EUR37 million, -55.8%. [more]

Autogrill: "In the first eight weeks of 2010: sales up 2.7% at constant exchange rates4 (up 3.5% on a comparable basis) on the same period in 2009. In 2010, Autogrill will stay focussed on profitability, efficient use of resources and cash flow generation in a scenario that is improving in terms of traffic but still characterized by high volatility. Two possible traffic scenarios were considered. "Best case" indicates more growth in American airports and a moderate recovery of traffic in UK airports and Italian motorways, while Spanish airport traffic stays at last year's levels. "Worst case" indicates a more modest recovery in US airports, traffic on Italian motorways and in UK airports in line with 2009 and a slight contraction in Spain," Company statement.
