ANA and Philippine Airlines to establish commercial partnership

All Nippon Airways and Philippine Airlines announced (01-Oct-2014) they have agreed to establish a commercial partnership covering areas such as codeshare and frequent flyer programmes, subject to necessary government approvals. The codeshare between two countries is due to commence on 26-Oct-2014 and reciprocal frequent flyers programmes between ANA and Philippine Airlines will begin at the same time. ANA added its new service from Mar-2014 between Haneda International Airport and Manila International Airport while Philippine Airlines also added its new daytime service between Manila and Haneda. The total number of services between Japan and Philippines operated by ANA and Philippine airlines will be 74 per week. Under the codeshare, ANA will codeshare on Philippine Airlines-operated services not only between Japan and Philippines but also domestic services within the Philippines.
