AirAsia India to operate to Mumbai

AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, via his official Twitter account, stated (25-Sep-2014) AirAsia India will launch service to Mumbai "soon". He tweeted: "In Incredible India.bombay is changing by the day.AIRASIA India will be starting in this metro soon . We are coming". AirAsia India CEO Mittu Chandilya separately tweeted: "With @tonyfernandes out & about Mumbai - discussing strategies & executing the "Armada" brief". The carrier had previously not considered Mumbai due to cost considerations. The carrier, which launched operations in Jun-2014, currently operates to Goa, Chennai, Kochi, Jaipur and Chandigarh from its hub Bangalore.
