2013 airline ancillary revenues reach USD31.5b, up nearly 1200% since 2007
IdeaWorksCompany stated (17-Jul-2014) global airline ancillary revenue increased to USD31.5 billion in 2013, an increase of 1200% since the first annual CarTrawler survey in 2007. Ancillary revenue per passenger reached USD16, exceeding the global airline profit per passenger. IdeaWorksCompany researched the financial filings made by 114 airlines globally, 59 of which disclose ancillary revenue.
