Visitor arrivals to Hawaii up 12.2% in Jan-2011

Hawaii Tourism Authority reports (28-Feb-2011) visitor arrivals to Hawaii rose 12.2% year-on-year in Jan-2011: Details include:

Total visitor arrivals: 597,487, +12.2% year-on-year;
- US West Coast: 215,794, +12%;
- US East Coast: 144,153, +9.4%;
- Japan: 104,580, +18.7%;
- Canada: 58,773, +18.8%.
Total visitor expenditure: USD1.2 billion, +19.8%. [more]
