Virgin Atlantic considers acquisitions, bmi in sights

Virgin Atlantic CEO, Steve Ridgway, stated the carrier is open to acquisition opportunities and acquisitions could be on the carrier's agenda, including bmi (Travel Trade Gazette, 20-Sep-2010). Mr Ridgway confirmed Virgin Atlantic plans to grow, included acquiring slots at London Heathrow and putting the A380 and B787 into service.
