V Air launches maiden service

V Air launched (17-Dec-2014) inaugural operations on 16-Dec-2014, with its maiden service from Taipei Taoyuan to Bangkok Don Mueang nearing full load - see Route Changes Table for more information. The service operates daily with an A321 aircraft. Forward booking for the route for the remainder of Dec-2014 is now above 80% and for Jan-2015 is above 70%, with more than 80% of bookings coming from its website, in line with the carrier's expectations, according to CEO Eleni Lung and as reported by Apple Daily, CNA and Taipei Times. V Air chairman Vincent Lin said that forward booking for its inaugural services to Chiang Mai and Cambodia, scheduled for launch in Jan-2015, have reached 95%. [more - original PR]
