US Government to encourage US international travel and tourism with new initiatives

US President Barack Obama stated (22-May-2014) the Administration released a new report Increasing Tourism to Spur Economic Growth: Progress on the President's National Travel and Tourism Strategy, highlighting travel and tourism expansion initiatives to bolster tourism in the US. President Obama plans to sign a Presidential Memorandum to help welcome more international visitors, and meet the goal to serve 100 million international visitors annually by the end of 2021. The memorandum will expedite the entry process for travellers, beginning with the 15 largest airports. Over the next 120 days, Secretary Pritzker and Secretary Johnson will lead an interagency team to develop a national goal to improve the entry process and reduce wait times for international travellers. Airlines for America (A4A), American Airlines, US Travel Association, and Delta Air Lines welcomed the announcement.
