US airlines reports USD3.5bn in baggage fees/USD3bn in reservation change in 2014. Delta tops both
US Bureau of Transportation Statistics reported (04-May-2015) US scheduled passengers airlines collected USD879 million in baggage fees, an increase of 2.2% year-on-year, and USD744 million from reservation change fees, up 1.8%, in 4Q2015. For the full year, airlines collected USD3529 million in baggage fees, up 2.1%, and USD2981 million from reservation change fees, up 1.8%. The US BTS also reported the following airline rankings by baggage fee revenue and reservation change revenue for 2014:
