Ukraine International Airlines privatised

State Property Fund of Ukraine and the private co-founders of Ukraine International Airlines signed (28-Feb-2011) contracts to purchase the state-held 61.58% stake of the carrier for USD36.2 million. Under the sales agreement UIA Beteiligungsgesellschaft will purchase a 36.09% stake, UIA Holding will purchase 15.91% and Capital Investment Project will purchase 9.58%. The package price was USD4.7 million higher than forecast. Total shareholdings following the sale are:

  • UIA Beteiligungsgesellschaft: 58.61%;
  • UIA Holding: 25.84%;
  • Capital Investment Project: 15.55%. [more]
