London Mayor to continue challenging Heathrow expansion

UK's London Mayor Sadiq Khan stated (25-Oct-2016) UK's government recommending expansion at London Heathrow Airport is "the wrong decision for London and the whole of Britain". Mr Khan said the third runway "will be devastating for air quality across London", adding, "air pollution around the airport is already above legal levels of NO2". Mr Khan reiterated his belief an expanded London Gatwick Airport, "would have boosted our economy without causing these huge air and noise pollution problems, concluding, "I will continue to challenge this decision and I am exploring how I can best be involved in any legal process over the coming months".
