South Korea's passenger numbers up 9% to 20m in 3Q2013, int'l pax up 8% to 14m
South Korea's Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs reports (25-Oct-2013) the following traffic highlights for the three months ended Sep-2013:

- Jin Air: 520,000, +49.2%;
- T'way: 460,000, +8.0%;
- International: 14 million, +8.3%;

- China: 4.0 million, +24.8%;
- Southeast Asia: 4.3 million, +9.7%;
- Americas: 1.2 million, +5.6%;
- Europe: 991,903, +4.8%;

- Others: 230,767, +13.5%;

According to the Ministry, South Korea's full service carriers accounted for 64.4% of total international passengers in 3Q2013 while the nation's LCCs accounted for 10% of the total international passengers, up 2.0 ppts. South Korea's LCCs had a domestic market share of 48.3%, up 4.7 ppts.
