Ryanair overtakes Alitalia as largest carrier in Italy in 2011

Ryanair overtook (09-Mar-2012) Alitalia as the largest air operator in Italy with the LCC transporting 28.0 million passengers in Italy compared to Alitalia's 25.0 million in 2011, according to the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Italy.
