Ryanair accused of making deal with Irish Government for sale of Aer Lingus

Irish Government's Taoiseach has been urged by Libertas' leader, Declan Ganley, to ensure the government will not sell Aer Lingus to Ryanair if the Lisbon Treaty is approved by Irish citizens this week (Irish Times, 30-Sep-09). Ryanair responded (30-Sep-09) stating Mr Ganley's claims were false and ignored the fact that the LCC stated repetitively in its recent AGM that it is 'highly unlikely' to make a third bid for Aer Lingus and the carrier has not spoken to any member of government about such a deal.
