Republic Airways Holdings to report pretax margins of 2.5% to 3.0% for 2Q2015

Republic Airways Holdings stated (24-Jul-2015) it expects to report a net income of USD4.0 million to USD5.0 million in 2Q2015, alongside pretax margins of 2.5% to 3.0% on operating revenues of USD338 million to USD340 million. The carrier noted its 2Q2015 were negatively affected by 4% fewer block hours than forecasted, due to the "ongoing operational disruption caused by regulatory changes and further intensified by our ongoing pilot labour dispute." Republic Airways stated it anticipates continued operational disruption due to the labour dispute, as well as "the growing national pilot labour shortage." The carrier has initiated discussions with its mainline partners to both temporarily and permanently reduce its scheduled operations for the remainder of 2015 and 1H2016. [more - original PR]
