Republic Airways completes acquisition of Frontier Airlines

Republic Airways announced (01-Oct-2009) it has completed its acquisition of Frontier Airlines Holdings. Republic, which was the sponsor of Frontier's Plan of Reorganisation, acquired 100% of the equity in the company for USD108.75 million via an auction process in Frontier's Chapter 11 bankruptcy case. Upon the closing of the transaction, Frontier Airlines Holdings, Frontier Airlines and Lynx Aviation successfully emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy and are now wholly-owned subsidiaries of Republic.
