Qantas says 'some weakness' in business class but 'confident it will rebound'

Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce, speaking at the unveiling of the carrier's new business class suite, said (21-Oct-2014) said the airline is still seeing "strong demand in business class" to markets like the US and very long-haul markets to Europe and Dubai. Mr Joyce said there had been "some weakness in some business class sectors" as a result of weak government and resources traffic, but added: "We are comfortable this investment is for the long-term; the business class market goes through cycles and we're confident it will rebound."
