Qantas reports domestic cost gap with Virgin Australia approaching <5%

Qantas Group CEO Alan Joyce, speaking at the carrier's 2015 investor day, reported (12-May-2015) the cost gap between Qantas Domestic and Virgin Australia is approaching <5% while revenue premiums have been held at >15%. Mr Joyce noted: "When we started Jetstar, we talked about Virgin having a 40% cost advantage over Qantas Domestic… They've lost a major strategic position."
