Qantas Group chairman says Qantas transformation equal to other carriers but done without protection

Qantas Group chairman Leigh Clifford, speaking at the carrier's AGM, said (24-Oct-2014) the carrier's transformation programme is the biggest since the carrier was privatised. Mr Clifford said: "Many other carriers have been through transformations of this size and but have done so with government protection such as Chapter 11," continuing: "Qantas is doing this without protection, but it is equal in size and scale as other carriers... There is nothing simple about this and there is no easy fix."
