Azerbaijan Airlines to launch low cost subsidiary Buta Airways in 2017

Azerbaijan Airlines announced (14-Dec-2016) the board of directors reached a decision to establish Azerbaijan's own low cost carrier Buta Airways, as a 100% owned subsidiary of Azerbaijan Airlines. The LCC is expected to be based at Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport and operate with its own staff, tariff policy and fleet of Embraer aircraft in branded livery.
