Myanma Airways orders six ATR 72-600s and six options

Myanma Airways signed (16-Jul-2014) an agreement with ATR to acquire six ATR 72-600s with options for six additional aircraft. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery from 2015 to 2017 and will gradually replace the airline's existing ATR fleet. The carrier intends to use the aircraft to commence new routes and increase frequency on existing services. ATR also confirmed plans to assist the carrier in establishing a MRO facility in Yangon.
