Midwest Airlines to ground its B717 aircraft

Midwest Airlines announced plans to ground its nine remaining B717 fleet on 03-Nov-2009, with 68 pilots and 52 flight attendants to be furloughed (Business Journal of Milwaukee, 30-Sep-2009). Midwest is replacing the B717s with Embraer 190 aircraft flown by pilots employed by Republic Airlines. [more]
