IAG pax numbers up 5% but cargo traffic down 8% in Jan-2013, group premium traffic up 3%

International Airlines Group (IAG) reports (05-Feb-2013) the following consolidated traffic highlights in Jan-2013:

• Passenger numbers: 3.8 million, +5.3% year-on-year;
  • Domestic (UK & Spain): 754,000, +11.5%;
  • Europe: 1.5 million, +6.8%;
  • North America: 581,000, +1.6%;
  • Latin America and Caribbean: 384,000, -6.6%;
  • Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 408,000, +6.5%;
  • Asia Pacific: 128,000, +5.8%;
• Passenger load factor: 77%, +1.3 ppts;
  • Domestic (UK & Spain): 63.5%, -3.9 ppts;
  • Europe: 66.6%, +3.4 ppts;
  • North America: 77%, +1.8 ppts;
  • Latin America and Caribbean: 84.9%, -0.9 ppt;
  • Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 78.1%, +3.5 ppts;
  • Asia Pacific: 79.4%, +1.4 ppts;
