IAG pax numbers up 12% in Jun-2012, premium traffic up 5%

International Airlines Group (IAG) reports (04-Jul-2012) the following consolidated traffic highlights in Jun-2012:

  • Passenger numbers: 5.0 million, +11.6% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 84%, +2.3 ppts;
    • Domestic (UK and Spain): 77%, -0.2 ppt;
    • Europe: 78.9%, +0.3 ppt;
    • North America: 90%, +2.2 ppts;
    • Latin America and Caribbean: 85.7%, +2.4 ppts;
    • Africa, Middle East and S.Asia: 79.1%, +6.9 ppts;
    • Asia Pacific: 81.9%, +2.8 ppts;
  • Cargo traffic (FTKs): +0.6%. [more – original PR]

IAG: “Group premium traffic for the month of June grew by 5.3% compared to the previous year, with 9.6% growth in non-premium traffic. Underlying market conditions remain unchanged from last month.
