IAG passenger numbers up 6.3% in Mar-2011
International Airlines Group (IAG) reports (05-Apr-2011) the following consolidated traffic highlights in Mar-2011:
- Passenger numbers: 4.2 million, +6.3% year-on-year;
- Domestic (UK and Spain): 993,000, -1.9%;
- Europe: 1.7 million, +10.3%;
- North America: 586,000, +9.4%;
- Latin America and Caribbean: 391,000, +13%;
- Africa and Middle East: 340,000, -2.5%;
- Asia and Pacific: 125,000, +18.2%;
- Passenger load factor: 75%, -1.9 ppts;
- Domestic (UK and Spain): 70%, -0.7 ppt;
- Europe: 69.3%, +0.3 ppt;
- North America: 76.5%, -2.4 ppts;
- Latin America and Caribbean: 82%, -2.0 ppts;
- Africa and Middle East: 70.4%, -1.4 ppts;
- Asia and Pacific: 75.6%, -8.6 ppts;
- Cargo traffic (FTKs): +5.6%. [more]
IAG: "Group premium traffic for the month of March grew by 18.1% compared to the previous year, with 6.7% growth in non-premium traffic.
