London Stansted reports 10 consecutive months of double-digit growth in Mar-2015

London Stansted Airport passenger numbers up 24% - traffic highlights for Mar-2015:

• Passenger numbers: 1.7 million, +24.4% year-on-year;

The airport noted (12-Apr-2015) the result marks the 10th consecutive month of double-digit growth. MD Andrew Harrison said the airport welcomed almost one million more passengers in 1Q2015 while its moving annual passengers reached 20.9 million. He also noted growth in domestic traffic has been particularly strong with passengers up 40% due to new Scottish flights from Ryanair plus the arrival of Flybe to serve Newcastle and Isle of Man with a Newquay service joining later this year.
