ENAC issues Meridiana Fly and Air Italy with provisional licences

Italy's National Authority for Civil Aviation (ENAC) announced (11-Jan-2013) it suspended Meridiana Fly and Air Italy's Air Operator's Certificates (AOC) and issued provisional concurrent licences. The change does not have an impact on the airlines' operations however the provisional licence is a measure under current EU legislation for carriers facing financial difficulties. The airlines will provide ENAC with information each month regarding their finances and restructuring plan, for twelve months. [more - original PR Italian]
