Emirates look to secure additional landing rights in France

Emirates stated it is keen to secure additional landing rights in France as it seeks to expand in the European market stating it is "encouraged" by an air services agreement between UAE and France, which was signed in Jan-2011 (arabianbusiness, 17-Feb-2011). The agreement provides for an additional 22 weekly services to be operated between the two countries by Emirates, Etihad and Air Arabia. The agreement also adds Bordeaux as the sixth destination for UAE airlines, alongside Paris, Nice, Lyon, Marseilles and Toulouse.
