Emirates emerges as 'leaner and stronger' carrier; new routes to Europe and Africa

Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Worldwide, Richard Vaughan, stated (28-Apr-2010) the carrier has "emerged from a challenging period" as a "leaner and stronger" operation. The carrier is focusing on expanding its network with new routes, including daily Amsterdam service on 01-May-2010, daily Prague on 01-Jul-2010, daily Madrid on 01-Aug-2010 and five times weekly Dakar on 01-Sep-2010 - see Route Changes Table for more information.
